I just blitzed reading the whole series, all 11, in what I think was 2 weeks. Two of those 11 I didn't enjoy that much, but the detail they provided made the conclusion of the series more complete. Now that I'm done with the series, I hope to aspire to what the books opened me up to. Reason, truth, life, and many other ideals that were portrayed in a way that anyone can see the benefits of them. I'm far from treating the series like a bible or a set of virtues, but more like a lesson that I never fully learned.
If what I said didn't express it enough, if you have any interest in science-fiction/fantasy books, I highly recommend going to your used book store to pick up the Wizards First Rule, the beginning of what was a great adventure.
